Sept 24:
I was scheduled to start work on Monday, Sept. 24th, but the morning of, my start date got pushed back a day. Another free day? Okay, I'll take it.
All of the museums were closed on Monday, so unfortunately, I was unable to check them out.
I decided on a visit to the gym, which turned into a 30-60 minutes of me being a human pinball - bouncing from place to place, person to person, trying to figure out how to sign up to use the gym, in Spanish. In the end, I found a fantastic bakery nearby that had pain a chocolat, my favorite!
Upon Jenny's suggestion, I made my way to Vitacura, the comuna where I work, to check out the place. I spent an afternoon in fancy bakeries and the park (which had flamingoes?!). Vitacura is a well-endowed area, for sure.
When I got back to the house several hours later, Jenny took Marina and I to the gym, in an attempt to figure out our memberships. The office was closed, so we were unable to sign up, however, we did get into a Pilates circuit class, as a personal favor the teacher did for Jenny. It was a good, if not unexpected, workout.
